Casambi Lighting Controls
The Casambi Wireless control system provides all the control options that are expected from a professional lighting control system. As the system is wireless it works perfectly in both new lighting installations and upgrades of existing lighting systems, where traditional hard-wired lighting controls would be obtrusive and expensive to install.
LDL have an extensive range of luminaires that are Casambi enabled and an extensive portfolio of Casambi enabled switches, sensors, relays and actuators that all can be configured with the Casambi App to create an intelligent and versatile lighting system very easily.
Casambi technology provides a mesh network where all the intelligence of the system is replicated in every node and, in such a way, creates a system with no single points of failure, this self-organizing wireless mesh network can control a large number of fixtures from any point. The lighting system is commissioned and programmed via a simple app, once programmed varying levels of permissions can be granted for different users in the building.
The networks and controls can work automatically and independently or can incorporate a gateway to allow remote access to sites for monitoring and to make any changes to the network settings.
The system functionality includes the following.
Grouping
Luminaires and controls can be grouped very easily in the app, the devices do not need to be on the same electrical circuit as all of the control is done intelligently via the wireless interface, programmed via the app, making the system a very dynamic and versatile solution.
Scenes
Various Scenes can be created within each network, allowing different lighting situations for different occasions to be created. It is possible to control multiple luminaires to create the perfect ambience for different occasions and needs. Scenes can be controlled by Sensors and timers to allow the lighting to behave in the desired manner at different times of day and occupancy levels.
Animations
Animations are dynamic scenes, where it is possible for the lighting to fade from one scene to another scene. Animations can be recalled to cycle through different lighting situations once or they can be set on repeat. The duration of each scene and the fade times between scenes can be set.
Timers
With the calendar and timer functionality scenes and animations can be turned on and off based on a convenient time, date or certain weekdays to fit users’ needs, seasons and different activities. Casambi units are able to calculate and automate the local sunrise and sunset times, provided that the network’s timezone and location are set.
Tuneable White
The Casambi app allows tuneable white luminaires to be programmed to change colour temperature and intensity depending on the situation. Profiles can be set that mean the luminaire automatically follow a curve simulating the colour temperatures and intensities of natural daylight.
