Slalom

Nurturing growth, fuelling creativity.

Slalom, a purpose-driven global consulting firm, has made an exciting move to its new office at Bruntwood’s Bloc on Marble Street, right in the heart of Manchester’s city centre. With its impressive growth and expanding team, Slalom wanted a workspace that fostered collaboration, innovation, and employee wellbeing while highlighting the company’s unique identity. Spanning 8,600 sq. ft. across floors 13 and 15, the new office is designed to be a dynamic hub where creativity and productivity thrive.

The office design focuses on collaboration, with spaces that encourage close interaction with partners and clients, helping to solve problems and innovate efficiently. The design also incorporates elements to support an agile working environment, making it easier for employees to work flexibly and effectively. Employee wellbeing is at the forefront, with areas dedicated to relaxation and socialising, ensuring that the office is a place where people are excited to work and inspired to do their best.

Lighting plays a crucial role in this new space, and LDL’s lighting solutions are central to creating an environment that enhances employee performance. Our portfolio of luminaires is designed to help people see well, feel well, and perform well, ensuring that the office is conducive to both collaboration and individual productivity.

The interior design features clever branding elements to align with Slalom’s other global locations, creating a cohesive look and feel. A striking blue mesh ceiling runs the length of both floors, providing a visual focal point. The quirky features throughout the space bring in a local touch, such as the iconic Manchester bee and meeting rooms named after legendary Manchester music acts like Oasis and Happy Mondays. These elements serve as a reminder of the city’s vibrant, inspiring culture, reinforcing the idea that the office is not just a workplace but a hub of creativity and excitement.

This new Slalom office is a perfect blend of innovative design, employee-centric features, and a strong connection to Manchester’s identity, offering a space that encourages collaboration, drives innovation, and supports the wellbeing of its employees.
